Tip : don't stop over here if you plan to drive to Hana as you will need more time to explore falls and pools along the road. Combine this and ocean Maui center might be a good 1/2 days excursion.
Absolutely LOVE the plants and animals. Love the ducks. Its a great place for photography. Cool shops too! I love eating here I had a great dinner before.
This was our second visit to Maui, and I don't know how we missed this place the first time! Great food, lots of activities, and a cute little tour. Small place, so it won't take up all of your day. Bring a camera...beautiful locations, zip lines (small), plantation yours, gift shop, coffee shop, ice cream, and locally made souvenirs and local artists.
Great location in center of Maui - makes it a great stop over for 1-2hrs specially with kids. Take the tram ride to see the plantation and west Maui mountain. Tour guide is knowledgeable and do coconut shaking demo. On site restaurant range from casual to server served dinning.
The tour was very nice. A tour guide drives you around the plantation and describes all of the plants they have growing on the property. We stopped about halfway through and she showed us how to husk a coconut. My favorite part was the fresh fruit you get at the end of the tour. It was amazing! Their ice cream is also delicious, we came back later in the week to get more.
This was one of my first stops after arriving on Maui. My husband and I went to the onsite restaurant for lunch and it was delicious. The grounds of the plantation are beautiful, definitely worth spending some time walking around. They offer a your of the plantation that is worth checking out. There's a good souvenir shop st the entrance. But I was disappointed with the offerings in the fruit hut Since it's the tropical fruit plantation I would have expected a much better variety and overall quantity of fruit available for purchase. You're better off going to a local grocery store or a road side fruit stand.
