Part CD, part vinyl with a little head shop & paraphernalia thrown in for good measure this is truly the future of the old.

Request's should be every visitor's vacation destination and every resident's stop somewhere between Costco & the mall

End rant....Improve this and I will give you a better review

This is an excellent store with an excellent staff. It has a great selection of music for a very affordable price. I go here to buy vinyl records of my favourite works and end up paying $2 per record. I highly recommend going to this place to anyone.

My first experience at this place was great. I had great luck finding good titles in the vinyl selection. I use the term "luck" because there is absolutely no rhyme or reason behind the organization of their record library. Completely chaotic and out of order! Country mixed in with hip hop, mixed with rock, mixed with Japanese choir. Its ridiculous! Impossible to find anything! A complete shot in the dark! Come on guys! You are a freakin' music store! Put you records in order!

The staff was very kind, and I would recommend this place to anyone who loves music.

Combine all this with a staff that rejoices in both the CD & the Vinyl; in Beatles to Royal Blood to Miles to Mastodon they can talk the talk.

Gifted my parents a record player when they moved to Maui, but they didn't know where to get records. I visited them this summer, and found Request as we were driving home from a hike. It was amazing! Insanely cheap used records, and we snagged some gems by Fleetwood Mac, the cranberries, some great soundtracks, and Paul Simon, to name a few. Left with about 20 records in total. There's a huge selection downstairs, but I preferred the records they had upstairs.

Every employee here is knowledgeable and more than willing to help. Lobe the atmosphere

One suggestion... allow people to use your WIFI!!! I asked if I could sign on to the Request music store wifi, and the guy said no. First of all, I am in Your basement where there is no cellular service. If I find a track that I am interested in buying, but I am unfamiliar with the title, then I have no means of hearing what it sounds like. Or at least get a turntable with some headphones for people to use! Trust me, you have lost out on many sales by not having such a simple tool.

The past two times I have come, the customer service was horrible. The guys were so rude to me. And for no reason at all...

Request is either a holdover of the heyday of the old school record store OR a vanguard of the future of the New School Record Store.
