When I researched flooring options, I heard from several people that Mitch Owan of M and D Flooring is the best, so I hired him, even though he was more expensive than the competition. I’m happy to report that Mitch and his crew exceeded my expectations. He was courteous and professional at every turn. His crew showed up when they said that they were going to show up. At the end of each day, they cleaned up the work site and left everything neat and tidy. Mitch is knowledgeable, hardworking and honest. When a problem arose with the flooring product, he advocated on our behalf (while we were off-island) and helped us to solve the problem with minimal cost. My only complaint is that when they removed my fridge so that they could complete the kitchen floor, at first Mitch neglected to remind me to prop the doors open, and a nasty green mold grew inside of it, which I had to clean out. But overall, I would give M and D a glowing recommendation. We replaced floating floors with glue-down bamboo—a tricky application with a lot of precise cutting involved under the cabinets and the stair rail. The end product is fabulous, and we are happy that we chose Mitch.
