I read the bad reviews and almost didn't go. It's Christmas time. ALL post offices are nightmares this time of year. The parking lot of the main PO is a ZOO so I decided to give this one a try DESPITE the crappy reviews figuring that parking would be easier.
Carrier frequently doesn't pick up mail when box flag up, doesn't deliver mail to right address, makes excuses not to walk the few steps to my door with notice of package arrival so that have to go to post office next day. Substitutes not briefed on unusual addresses so that mail frequently misdelivered or not delivered at all. Multiple calls, emails and visits to post office and supervisor have not corrected the situation. Not happy with my mail carrier(s)
Paid for restricted delivery from mainland to wailuku. When the idiot carrier got there they let someone else sign and take the package. Now I'm calling the office and NO ONE WILL ANSWER!
Whoever is delivering mail in Wailuku on saturdays are very unprofessional and lazy because I never receive my mail on saturdays and the tracking always says business closed which it's not closed they are just to lazy to open the front door!!!!! Just because it's a half day on Saturday doesn't mean you have to do a half ass job! I'm very disappointed in the one person who drives on Saturday's and in the people who hired such a lazy incomatant person to handle other people's packages and mail.
The place was easy to find. Parking was EASY. There was a line at 9:20am... but not a long one and it moved quickly. I looked at all the agents. They were ALL smiling sincerely and brightly. The woman who helped me was friendly, patient, helpful, AND she saved me some money. I had NO complaints and was out of there quickly.
The postal staff are always friendly and helpful. It's rarely a long wait.
