Just a heads up. This ride is physically difficult and could be a bit much for some people. If your concerned, get a seat at the front of the bus and you'll be fine. My wife and I were at the back of the bus and found that we were weary by the time we got home but very happy.

This tour is a MUST! Let Dennis at Valley Isle Excursions take away the potential stresses of driving the gorgeous Hana Hwy experience so you can actually see half of the Maui coast instead of trying to drive like a tourist! The stops, anecdotes, sites and speed were incredible and worth every penny. Be prepared to be gone all day and bring some cash money. We can’t wait to come back and take the Haleakala Sunrise tour! Dennis is a hilarious native of Maui - ask for him as your guide. Really easy booking and they pick you up right at your door in many cases!

Truly enjoyed this tour. Eric was our tour guide, he was friendly, knowledgeable, thoughtful and courteous. Attentive to each person on the van. 12 of us. The views were spectacular. Eric made sure we had all of the photo ops possible. Even my apprehensive friend loved it! I recommend Eric who is very easy on the eyes.

Then you'll have the waterfall section with plenty of stops to get great photos. From there we went to the Black Sand Beach and the National Park, both worth seeing. Then we stopped for lunch. It was good food but don't expect gormet - after all, you're on an excursion.

My wife and I were thinking about driving the Road to Hana ourselves but after hearing tales of how busy and difficult it was to navigate, we decided to do a bus tour. Dennis was our tour guide and he was fantastic. He not only knew so much about the island, wildlife and culture but you could tell the he lived and breathed the Hawaiian culture and loved the island. The bus was air conditioned and the driver provided snacks and drinks the whole way. Continental breakfast and a homemade lunch was also provided. He took us to all the major waterfalls, the black sand beach and black rock beach. The whole trip took about 8 hours so plan accordingly. There are areas you can go swimming if you’d like. If you are looking to do a more relaxing tour rather than drive it yourself, I would recommend Island Valley Excursions Road to Hana bus tour.

Fantastic. Our driver Joe was amazing, made us feel like family and by far made this tour a great time. He was so knowledgeable about the land, history and culture of Maui. 2 days later my family is still talking about how wonderful Joe was and how we miss his stories (and soothing voice!). The lunch was DELICIOUS and definitely exceeded my expectations. We weren't able to go swimming at Ohe'o but the view was spectacular. Joe stopped many times for us to take pictures of different places along the road to Hana. Mahalo to Uncle Joe for an amazing day

The next part was a surprise. ..the road back. It was rough and exhilarating! We saw the other side of the island and enjoyed the contrast. Junior even gave us the scoop on Opera's residence and where Jurassic Park was filmed.

Our guide, Junior, was extremely knowledge and entertaining. Your probably wondering what your going to see, we did. There were many stops and I understand they change from time to time. I'm sure you can count on a continental breakfast (try the jams they're yummy), you'll learn about how the islands vegetation evolved, see beautiful coastlines, and pic opportunities over and over again.
