Beautiful area. The center appeared closed the day we went, but the trees and hills were amazing. Very different from the beach areas.
Beutiful place for picnics and swimming and great trails. A must do if in maui. 10 minutes from airport
Closed as mentioned by others. Unable to reach the Iao monument and the trail up the river has a sign that is explicit about locals not wanting tours hiking up it. So, a real let down.
A must see place. The valley is beautiful. Make sure you wear your swim suit to soak in the small river pools. Hike the trails . A rich place for the history of Maui!
