1) 5 star for Maui Beaches, Stores, Eateries and Convenience. 2) 2-stars Road to Lahaina, 2 lanes each way construction should be in planning soon. 3) Local Govt/Police needs to crack down on Speeders, Redlight/Stop Runners and Loitering. 4) The worst part of visiting ALL the islands are the Car Rental Gouging, Ripping off the visitor's with all these STUPID FEES, they should be ashamed of themselves, City Hall needs to find common grounds to be fair. 5) Remove all abandoned vehicles and others on streets and highway. 6) There are certain beaches that needs attention. Finally, Please keep the island the way it should be "CLEAN PARADISE"

Today I saw you eating breakfast at IHop so I didn’t want to disturbed you, but I really wanted to say to you that you should be a shame of yourself, thinking that you could fooled the people of Maui, …Your job is to protect the people and Land of Maui, Remember you work for Us the people (Tax payers) of Maui not Monsanto and Dow. You lose my vote today.

Mayor Alan Arakawa,

The solution to the homeless situation is NOT more yellow gates. All the homeless who used to be tucked away at Kanaha, are now all over town, during our winter storms. This is not aloha, this is abuse. This is domestic violence. The strength of Hawaii Nei is Kanaka Maoli. Arakawa repeatedly shows that he has no aloha towards his kanaka maoli. Bad chief, very bad caretaking. Cruel and unjust, when there are ACRES of unused lands to house these peoples. Hurt people, continue the cycle... and hurt people. Healed people heal people. Maui county i ask you to imagine your mayor declaring your home unacceptable and bulldozing it with offering any compensation. This is exactly whatt he has done with people who are already living on the edge. As a christian on outreach, i have met whole families trying to live in a sedan. Many have work, but housing is out of control. My last count there were 4 (FOUR!) jobs listed in the Maui news. there were 4 (FOUR!) PAGES of real estate so that more non Hawaiian people can move here, because the people who live here cannot make enough to live indoors. I am also concerned that homeless peoples now forced to live in town will be arrested on trumped up charges, creating a 'legal' pauper's prison situation. This is something our Founding Fathers foresaw, and sought to prevent. I rest assured that Arakawa will meet his Maker, and be held accountable for his treatment of human beings under his leadership. May God have Mercy on his soul. i also really resent being forced to give him a star rating in order to be allowed to post this. If there was an option of minus stars that would work for me. Aloha Nui Loa, Jennifer LIBERTY Bauer
